WELCOME TO CELTIC HARRIERS CLUB.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting your running journey, our club offers a welcoming community, ongoing support, and a place to share your passion for running. Join us for a social walk, a fun run or to train for a marathon – we provide dedicated training programs throughout the year, from our fun Couch to 10km programs to specialised 21km and 42km training programs.
Members are also encouraged to join the weekly strength and conditioning training sessions at the club. Many top athletes have worn our famous Celtic green and white hoops, but we support ALL our members, including road runners, walkers, trail runners and social members – whether you’re just starting out, or looking to win your next race, we are here for you.

Our Story
Established in 1906, Celtic Harriers is the 5th oldest running club in the Western Cape. Based at Brookside in Claremont, Cape Town, Celtics has a proud history as the founder of the Western Cape’s biggest race, the Two Oceans Marathon. We also organize the Balwin Properties Cape Peninsula Marathon and the Don Lock Memorial Road Race. However, Celtic Harriers is about more than just running, we foster an active community through numerous regular club runs, walks, and social gatherings.
